Academic Director
Dr. Lutz Mükke is the Academic Director of the European Institute for Journalism and Communication Research (EIJC) since March 2014. He is co-editor of Message, International Magazine for Journalism, based in Hamburg/Germany. He works as Project Coordinator Journalism, Science and International Relations at the Media Foundation of Sparkasse Leipzig and is the Project Manager of the newly established European Centre for Press and Media Freedom.
Research Assistant
Annegret Ode, M.A., worked until 2015 as research assistant and project coordinator for the conference “Communication Floods” and publications. She continues to organize the International Journalist´s Meetings at EIJC.

Nico Matheis, Master of Arts in European Studies and Bachelor in Political Sciences. Has been employed by Deutsche Lufthansa AG Politics Department and the Consulate General of the United States of America Leipzig. International experience includes stays in France, Belgium and Argentina.
